Confirmed errors:



[145]  Bottom of page;
Recall and precision are defined incorrectly.  They are defined
correctly on page 180 in figure 9-5.  That same figure should replace
the inaccurate definitions on page 145.

The definitions on page 145 should read:

Recall = # relevant documents retrieved / total # relevant documents in collection
Precision = # relevant documents retrieved / total # documents retrieved

[180]  top of page;
The definitions given for Precision Ratio and Recall Ratio, both in
the text and in Figure 9-5 on p. 180 differ substantially from those
given at the bottom of page 145.
